Position Summary

We are searching for an experienced and ambitious Staff Accountant to join the Blue Marble Finance team. This role will be part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the company’s finances.

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for completing data entry, maintaining NetSuite and QuickBooks online data and ensuring completeness and accuracy of all data.

The role will support monthly and annual financial processes and assist in making journal entries, account reconciliation, preparation of accurate and timely financial reports and statements, ensuring appropriate accounting control procedure and providing support our annual audit process.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in the accounts payable function including receiving, processing, and verifying invoices.
  • Work with expense reports in Expensify to properly confirm and import departmental costs
  • Perform regular bank and credit card transaction importing
  • Perform month-end closing responsibilities for assigned inventory activity including data pulling, making journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Analyze and explain unusual variances in assigned accounts
  • Post and process various types of entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
  • Receive customer payments and reconcile customer accounts as necessary
  • Update accounts payable as vendor bills are paid, and reconcile as necessary
  • Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
  • Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
  • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
  • Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
  • Assist in yearly third-party audits
  • Perform special projects as requested by management
  • Follow best practices and processes as established by the current team, while looking for ways to
  • improve both accuracy and efficiency
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Account preferred, Associates Degree in a relevant field required.
  • Excellent organizational skills with great attention to detail.
  • Solid math and analytical skills.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office with an emphasis on Excel.
  • Familiarity with relevant software including QuickBooks, NetSuite a plus.
  • Understanding of GAAP.
  • Experience with closing cycles and reconciliations.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments to meet deadlines with efficiency and accuracy.
  • CPA, CPA eligible or CMA is a plus, but not required.
  • Data migration experience preferred.
  • Inventory/cost accounting with manufacturing knowledge preferred.
  • Familiarity with SQL database language preferred.

Position Summary

Working as a partner to the Director and of Marketing alongside the eCom and Sales teams, this role plays an important part in the continued evolution and development of the Blue Marble off-platform marketing strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identifying and communicating awareness and conversion focused marketing opportunities and risks across our retail channels and industry partners.
  • Developing and Leading high performing sales-and-customer-focused Initiatives through leading and driving of core business initiatives
  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive Omni-Channel strategy to impact new and existing channels which optimize customer engagement and conversions.
  • Daily monitoring and monthly reporting for paid and influencer campaigns with a tight focus on impressions, engagement, conversions, and RoAS.
  • Provide insights for social media efforts to grow Blue Marble brand fans while actively pushing sales.
  • Maintain marketing calendar and coordinate deliverable dates for team with internal stakeholders (sales, eCom, design, PD).
  • Manage Workzone and eminent PLM workflows and templates.
  • Develops and Leads high performing and customer-focused commercial initiatives, through leading and driving of core business processes, including:
  • Ensures the team lives and executes customer-centrality, defined as listening to customers and meeting their needs to provide customer-centric solutions, also ensures that in the team mindset and outcomes – the patient comes first

We are looking for seasonal help to assist our warranty and returns department. This will include processing returns in the computer, identifying defects, and initiating any exchanges or replacements.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Receive returns by removing from packaging and assessing information.
  • Process relevant warranty and return information in the computer.
  • Identify any ongoing or consistent issues with returned products.
  • Fulfill warranty requests.

Position Summary

Blue Marble is looking for a Junior Designer with proven experience in a range of print and digital deliverables including packaging, product collateral, point of sale, and marketing initiatives, and is primarily responsible for print production and preparation of files for press. This is a “hands on” role where you will be an essential part of our mission to inspire creativity and active play in children throughout the world with thoughtfully designed products that engage the imagination.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Execute design production tasks including file management, application of translations to existing artworks, and management of the product photography asset database
  • Maintain brand consistency across artworks under established brand guidelines and styles
  • Provide image retouching, clipping paths and additional image manipulation
  • Prepare final press-ready files based on specifications for several types of printing
  • Prepare images for online and mobile applications
  • Cleanly set up, archive, and catalog files for future projects and ease of use across departments
  • Acts as the liaison between the creative team and all other departments to obtain the necessary information or assets to execute projects, alerting individuals on current project/deadline status and any issues that may need attention
Required Skills/Abilities
  • The successful candidate will possess a BS in Design, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent job experience) and up to 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Expertise with digital & printing processes, Mac OSX, Adobe Creative Suite (specifically: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat), MS Office suite, and quick to learn other software(s) used
  • Possess strong typographic skills and an eye for layout
  • Ability to start projects and drive to completion
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple packaging and inbox activities with constant changes
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required for effective project and client management
  • Enthusiasm for getting “hands on” in collaborative team environments
  • Ability to work quickly, independently, follow-through and work across departmental boundaries to obtain the necessary information or assets to execute projects.
