Crystals come in a variety of different colors, shapes, and sizes. For instance, did you know that some of the biggest crystals ever found are longer than a school bus? That’s amazing, right?
Learning about the wide range of crystals in the world is exciting for your kid and serves as a fantastic introduction to the wonders of geology. It also encourages your kid to become curious about exploring the world around them.
To help you get that learning adventure started, we’ve provided a free, downloadable Crystal Identification Guide. See if you can find any of the crystals on the list the next time you’re outside with your kid. Or, if you have some crystals in your home from a National Geographic STEM kit, hide them around the backyard and have your kid search for them!
